En más de una ocasión os he hablado sobre el hándicap en FIFA (o scripting, momentum… como lo queráis llamar). Su existencia o no nunca ha sido comprobada, ya que hasta que no existiera una confirmación por parte de EA Sports, la creadora del juego, no se podía aseverar con rotundidad su presencia en dicho título, y es algo que no había ocurrido… hasta ahora.
Hoy leía una entrevista de la gente de Softonic, en la cual hablaban con Aaron McHardy, productor de jugabilidad de FIFA 16, preguntándole durante el desarrollo de la misma sobre el manido tema del hándicap, de si existe o no. A continuación os pongo, trascrita, su respuesta al ser preguntado sobre este tema:
«Lo he dicho en muchas entrevistas anteriores: no existe este Momentum. Si supiera cómo diseñar ese algoritmo seguramente sería un dios entre los desarrolladores. Lo que ocurre es que debéis tener en cuenta que hemos creado FiFA como si se tratara de un animal salvaje. Y como tal es difícil de controlar. Nosotros creamos un lienzo repleto de posibilidades y allí puede ocurrir cualquier cosa. Todo lo que vivís es pura jugabilidad emergente.
Ahora bien, quiero que quede claro que no nos hemos olvidado de todos aquellos usuarios frustrados que creen que en FIFA existe algo llamado Momentum. Os voy a confesar una cosa. Me he pasado horas y horas mirando vídeos en YouTube que aseguran tener pruebas sobre el Momentum para analizar los verdaderos errores detrás de esta teoría. Para mí no existe Momentum sino, por ejemplo, un error de programación que provoca una mala decisión del árbitro, un problema con las físicas que no redirecciona bien el balón….
Todos los cambios en la jugabilidad que hemos preparado para FIFA 16 son en parte fruto de este análisis del Momentum. Queremos que FIFA 16 sea un juego libre de errores de este tipo. No queremos que se acumulen tantos imprevistos que al final acabas creyendo que el mundo se ha girado en tu contra. Somos conscientes de ello y queremos acabar con el problema. Con las innovaciones que estamos preparando queremos asegurar el final del Momentum».
Os hago un pequeño resumen. Aaron McHardy explica que no existe hándicap en FIFA, al menos no de manera voluntaria por parte de EA Sports, si no que más bien es producto de fallos de programación, y que en FIFA 16 harán lo posible por solucionar esto.
Bajo mi punto de vista, el hándicap no es una serie de fallos de programación aleatorios, por una razón muy simple: sucede o bien durante rachas, o según equis parámetros, como tener o no un equipo de más o menos media. Es decir, puedo comprender que en ciertos momentos de un partido pueda haber errores (graves incluso) por los que un jugador de la talla de Messi pueda fallar un control sencillo, que Iniesta erre un pase a dos metros o que un árbitro pite un penalti inexistente, ya que como videojuego, no hay nada perfecto. El problema es que esto ocurre, de manera positiva o negativa, según determinadas rachas de partidos. Ahí está la prueba.
Sería un cúmulo de desgracias que durante cinco partidos seguidos nuestro equipo sufriera varios de estos «errores de programación» y que durante otros cinco, no sucediera.
En mi opinión, Aaron McHardy ha querido salir de la manera más correcta ante esta pregunta, ya que es un tema muy en boca de todos los seguidores de FIFA. De ahí viene la excusa de los errores de programación, así como su posterior arenga para poder corregir este fallo en FIFA 16. ¿Qué puede querer significar esto? Que cada vez es más claro que el hándicap existe, y que como EA Sports es consciente del malestar del público, en FIFA 16 pueda ser eliminado. Si eso ocurriera, podrían decir que en anteriores FIFA había hándicap debido a esos errores, y que ya estaría subsanado gracias al buen hacer para esta edición del juego. Jugada redonda.
Lo que de verdad valoro de esta conversación, es el final, el cual pone algo de esperanza en la definitiva eliminación del hándicap para el próximo FIFA 16, el fin de este arbitrio que impide un justo desarrollo de los partidos.

Yo se que el Handicap existe y es tan aleatorio que si pareciera un error de programación, porque ahora tampoco es que cae en todos los partidos ni en todas las jugadas, ni con todos los equipos yo he ganado fácil con equipazos, también he perdido partidos increíbles con equipos que no lo merecían.
Diría que en un promedio de 50 partidos tendría handicap en 5 osea un 10%, si ese porcentaje seria 0 seria mejor.
El handicap es frustrante, si y mucho, incluso cuando esta a tu favor es feo desvirtua el juego.
Ahora no todo es Handicap, debemos ser conscientes de nuestras limitaciones de querer a veces hacer solo jugadas a primer toque así los jugadores estén incómodos o no sean aptos para eso, o de creer que porque Doumbia tiene 93 de ritmo no puede ser frenado por un Hummels SIF (cosa muy probable y facil de hacer), si Fifa 16 va a ser mas manual como dicen van a aparecer jugadas y jugadores mas imprecisos y seguiremos echándole la culpa al Handicap.

El que juega a diario seriamente y sin excusas sabe. En un partido normal tus jugadores son aviones y en otros, el mando parece una piedra, los jugadores no van hacia donde marcan tus manos, ante un triangulazo, se nota como tus defensas corren hacia adelante dando espacio de mano a mano al atacante, etc.
Lo curioso es que en PES también hay "errores" de programación. Hasta donde probe más leves porque es la CPU la que te marca a placer cuando quiere, sin posibilidad de freno.
Enhorabuena a ambos, crearon el algoritmo de la estafa y frustración. Mentirosos.

Yo juego durante años y la verdad es que dando mi maximo llego apenas a empatar en Clase Extrema y en la categoria Clase Mundial a veces no gano.

Me gusta mas el online, pero por los sobres si he jugado contra la maquina
Es maxima y si si he ganado debes jugar super concentrado, tranquilo y sin apurarte por querer quitarle el balon a la maquina, esta le encanta tener el balon pero no hace cosas muy inesperadas sino toca hasta la cocina, no salgas a lo loco trata de quitarle el balon sin desesperarte.
Para atacar No intentes salirte con un jugador de todos la maquina defiende muy bien, se barre casi siempre muy limpio, casi nunca le pitan faltas en contra para ganarle debes saber contragolpear, es dificil pero si es ganable la maquina es mas predecible que un humano sus jugadas estan prefabricadas

Importa mucho tu plantilla, porque por ser la maquina tiene nivel, es mas tuvieron que bajarle el nivel al leyenda, al inicio del juego perdías por goleadas, era injugable la mejor IA que han desarrollado, fue de las primeras actualizaciones, en el torneo del Buitre solo dan pelea el Real y el barca, como te dicen juega tranquilo y no trates de ganar solo corriendo xq la maquina correra mas que tu sin importar los jugadores.

Si que se le puede ganar tanto en Mundial, Legendario y/o Máxima, pero sin duda el modo mas absurdo es Mundial, ya que en los otros dos no hay tanta diferencia entre si, y esta, está mas equilibrada, donde hay un salto absurdo es entre profesional y mundial. No estoy de acuerdo en que la IA sea buena, todo lo contrario, yo he jugado este año mas de 1200 partidos y el resumen es que la IA es desastrosa, precisamente por la falta de una buena IA pasan cosas como que la CPU gana cuando y como quiere según unos parametros establecidos, que metan goles en el minuto 90 de un centro desde medio campo que cabecean fuera del area y el portero ni se inmuta, como que de repente tus jugadores no saben hacer un pase y que cualquier tiro, aun a puerta vacia, vaya al palo. Como que cuando la maquina va ganando cerca del final, mande un extremo al corner y se ponga "cara a la pared" a perder tiempo, como que los jugadores en el minuto 90 corren igual que en el 1, como que el lazio, el fenerbahce o el Newells, sean equipos fetiches que te ganaran determinados torneos, aunque juegues con un equipo de tots, como que el primer partido y la semifinal sean siempre mas dificiles que la final, como que ganaras las tandas de penaltis si has tirado durante el partido mas a puerta que el rival y viceversa, como que hay determinados partidos que solo los ganaras en defensivo hasta el minuto 80 y a partir de ahi en ultraofensivo y podria seguir con una lista interminable y frustrante de muestras de mala IA, que llegan en ocasiones a apagar la consola y no tener ganas de jugar durante un tiempo.

Yo juego siempre en clase mundial porque se me hace facil ganar sin estar concentrado puedo jugar con un ojo en la compu y otro en el play, pero en legendario ya no me puedo dar esos lujos y en maxima menos la maquina no te deja oler el balon

No he jugado esas dificultades, pero en el 13 sí ganaba en legendario a rivales de de nivel 3 estrellas porque jugar contra uno de 5 estrellas era ganar por 1 o empate o perder; dejé de jugar porque odié el hándicap. 🙁

El problema del handicap es que te impide saber tu verdadero nivel porque o te perjudica o te beneficia. Si el handicap fuera solo una ilusión óptica los jugadores de bronce de 40 de valoración no hubiesen costado unos 40 k antes de los rangos.
He sufrido el handicap en contra por rachas de equipo o jugadores (jugadores que no mueven las piernas, no se desmarcan, erran bajo el arco, no defienden, identificas con la flecha a un jugador y no corre para marcar, espera que pase el rival o se adelanta o deja pasar la peltoa; jugadores como fabregas que erran pases a 5 metros, cosas rarisimas); también por diferencia de valoración de equipos, por ej de 73 de valoracion vs un 84 o mas y los de menor valoración vuelan, marcan, tocan… esto lo comprobe a favor armando un equipo integramente de bronce de la mls con valoración menos de 70 y vs equipazos de 86 ganaba en posesion, etc… algo inverosimil. El handicap te favorece o te perjudica por la sensilla razón que el fut es un negocio y si perdes siempre, EA pierde clientes, por eso te mantiene siempre ahi a la expectativa y que sigas jugando sin desanimarte. El handicap es lo peor del fut lejos.

El problema del handicap son las rachas, yo a decir verdad soy un jugador bastante mediocre, recién gane el título de la 4ta división con un handicap a favor, gane 2 partidos en los que me estaban dando un verdadero baile, me hicieron 20 tiros y todos los fallaba mi rival y en la única llegada mía pum! gol. Subo a tercera y Desciendo, puros empates con rivales a los que bien podía ganar, pero mi equipo se muestra lento, torpe, mi central en un balón largo tiene ventaja y hace un mal toque y gol, etc. Reitero, lo malo son las rachas, porque en la vida real Messi se equivoca, puede tener un partido malo el Real Madrid o el Barcelona, pero no rachas. bien podrían mejor programar algo acorde con el nivel del jugador, por decir algo Messi darle una probabilidad de error del 5% y por decir un Tisdale un 20% es distinto a que 5 partidos tu equipo funciones bien o mejor de lo que debería y 5 partidos vaya fatal.

A mi me toco una racha de 7 u 8 partidos en los casi rompo la tv con gamepad. En casi todos los partidos superaba a mi rival en juego tenencia del balon y llegadas, pero los centrales hacian cosas extrañas, el portero miraba pasar o se tiraba sin tomar balones faciles y la delantera yerraba todo, goles imposibles de errar. Tengo de delanteros Hazard, Aguero y Alexis tots, con los cuales fuera de esa racha me hago un festival, mas Costa tots y Rooney If de suplentes, todos me fallaban asi de pronto.
Yo compre Fifa 15 de preventa, este dudo mucho de comprar Fifa 16, tengo ganas de probar Pes, solo debido al handicap.

A mi modo de ver, lo que existe son unas rutinas sencillas, ya que la IA de este juego me parece absurda y penosa y precisamente para suplir este aspecto han creado logaritmos que "den la sensación", o al menos a ellos se los parece, de que hay cierta aleatoriedad y libre albedrio y por tanto realismo, ya que lo contrario, es decir reacciones mecanicas y tipificadas son el sintoma de una IA pobre. Creo realmente que ese es el "truco" de EA, el cual si habeis jugado a otros juegos de la casa, como street soccer, hockey, basket, futbol americano, etc, podreis haber observado como pasa exactamente lo mismo, es decir se establecen una serie de parametros y estos crearan a su vez una serie de consecuencias a menos que se tomen determinadas decisiones que son las que cambiaran esos mismos parametros. Cuando la IA, porque se alinean esos parametros determinados, decide que no vas a ganar, no lo harás, hagas lo que hagas, pues lo que no puedes controlar es que de repente tu portero se quede parado, que un tiro a todas luces perfecto vaya al palo o que de repente tus defensas corran absurdamente en sentido contrario al delantero, esto es inevitable, pues la CPU siempre tendrá el control sobre estos aspectos. Un ejemplo claro es cuando faltando 5 minutos para el final, la CPU manda un delantero al corner, cara al banderin, a perder tiempo, o cuando despues de un partido plagado de faltas y paradas de balón, el arbitro no añade tiempo extra o lo contrario, sin paradas, te añade 5 minutos por defecto. Si a esto se le quiere llamar aleatoriedad o mala suerte ya es cuestión de conceptos, desde luego yo tengo claro lo que es y sobre todo como me afecta y me cabrea. La solución es trabajar en una IA verdadera y como ha dicho alguien mas arriba, que el juego sea mas manual, lo cual quizas conlleve otra serie de perjuicios que por supuesto no serán del agrado de todos.

Today, I went to the beach with my children.
